La regista Zohar Wagner racconta la storia di Kochava Levy, una giovane donna di origine yemenita che ha fatto da mediatrice tra i terroristi e l’IDF mentre era tenuta in ostaggio a Tel Aviv durante la notte del micidiale attacco terroristico all’Hotel Savoy del 1975. Nel corso di una notte, si trasformò in un’eroina senza paura. Il film intreccia rari materiali d’archivio che non sono mai stati diffusi e scene di fiction rievocative della notte dell’attacco.

Filmmaker Zohar Wagner tells the story of Kochava Levy, a young woman of Yemeni descent, who served as mediator between terrorists and IDF while being held hostage in Tel Aviv – during the night of the deadly 1975 Hotel Savoy terror attack. Over the course of one night, she transformed herself into a fearless heroine. The film intertwines rare archival materials that were never released as well as re-enacted scenes from the night of the attack.

Louise, a Jewish lawyer, arrives from Paris to finalize an important real estate deal, using Neta, a chance driver, the cunning hero from Mahane Yehuda, who immediately finds the economic opportunity and decides to stick with Louise at any cost.

When the two visit the Old City, they discover a secret connection between an ultra-Orthodox woman and a Christian man who communicate through notes hidden within the grooves of the Wailing Wall in the Old City of Jerusalem. In an attempt to solve the mystery, Louise and Neta follow the puzzling couple through the narrow alleyways of the city. A comedy of mistakes in the heart of magical Jerusalem, and a story about friendship between two women at a critical point in their lives.

Vivendo ai margini della società israeliana, alcuni ragazzi problematici devono unirsi per salvare il rifugio per giovani a rischio che li ha tenuti lontani dalla strada. Per generazioni, la direttrice Margalit (Tiki Dayan) ha fornito un rifugio amorevole alle vittime dell’abbandono e della violenza in una casa malandata alla periferia di Tel Aviv. Tocca al braccio destro Jackie (Roy Assaf) tenere la casa lontana dagli immobiliaristi corrotti, placando anche i controlli di un assistente sociale per evitare la tragedia.

Con l’amore severo del “fratello maggiore” Jackie, i ragazzi devono ora essere responsabili delle proprie vite e salvare il loro rifugio da un destino terribile. Ispirato a una storia vera, questo dramma dà voce a coloro che vivono ai margini, spesso inosservati e trascurati dalla società.

Living on the fringes of Israeli society, troubled boys must band together to save the shelter for at-risk youth that has kept them off the streets. When tragedy strikes, it’s up to right-hand man Jackie (Roy Assaf) to keep the home from corrupt property developers, and assuage a social worker’s scrutiny. With tough love from “big brother” Jackie, the young men must now be accountable for their own lives, and save their refuge from a dire fate. Inspired by a true story, this compassionate drama gives voice to those on the periphery, often unnoticed and uncared for.
